Unfamiliar Journey

Religion seems to have a higher profile in our country today than for many years. From local planning applications to international crises, issues of faith seem to be increasingly important. But how much do we really know about others’ beliefs and practices?

  • Would you like to know more about other faiths?
  • Are you interested in building good relations with people of different beliefs?
  • Have you ever wondered what people of other faiths think about God,
and issues like suffering or life after death?
  • Do you want to explore whether Islam a partner and friend or a rival and foe? …or how Christians should regard Muhammad? …or how Muslims and Hindus regard Jesus?
and how does the Bible help us with these questions?

The Unfamiliar Journey course seeks to explore these and other issues, and to help Christians become more confident about their own faith in our multi-faith society.

The course normally takes place over 6 evenings including visits to two places of worship in Leicester. Alternatively four evening sessions and a Saturday visiting places of worship can be arranged.

The course is primarily for Christians of all denominations but those of other faiths are also welcome to attend.

Over 25 courses have been run in Leicester and Leicestershire over the past few years.  If you would like a course in your area, contact:  Clare Downing or Kathy Morrison.

Follow up courses looking at further different faiths or scriptures are also available.
